Current turnaround is

Approximately 10 weeks from receiving your DNA Inclusions

Below are many frequently asked questions and information on all DNA inclusions

Q: How do I preserve the DNA inclusions?

A: Breastmilk- I use a very unique chemical preservation method that will turn your breastmilk to stone. Breastmilk needs to be properly preserved prior to placing in resin. Once your breastmilk has been plasticized I am able to make many different shapes and designs.

Ashes, Umbilical Cord, and Placenta- Your DNA inclusions are prepared and pulverized into a fine consistency. Upon your request the inclusions are then infused with any shimmers and fleck prior to placing in the high quality jewelers grade resin.

Q: How much Breastmilk, Ashes, Umbilical Cord, or Placenta do you need to make a Keepsake

A: Breastmilk- I recommend sending a 1/2oz of Breastmilk which can yield up to three Milk Charms. Minimum requirement for one charm is 5ml

Ashes- 1/4 teaspoon per keepsake. I do mail back any unused cremains

Umbilical Cord- stump that falls off after birth. I will mail back any unused portion

Placenta- One encapsulated Placenta pill per 2 Keepsake

Q: I placed an order, now what?

A: You will receive an emailed confirmation shortly after checkout with detailed mailing instructions. Once received, your DNA inclusions will be logged onto the DNA arrivals page.

Q: what is your current turnaround time ?

A: Approximately 10 weeks from receiving your Breastmilk

Q: Can you use my expired frozen Breastmilk?

A: Yes I can! I have successfully cultured a breastmilk Pearl from Breastmilk that had been frozen since 1995.

Q: Does my Breastmilk need to be on ice when mailed?

A: Your Breastmilk does not need to be cold during transit. Simply double bag and ship in a padded envelope

Q: I just purchased a ring, can I change my ring size?

A: You have 24 hours from purchase to make any changes to your order as I buy the supplies needed at that time. After the 24 hour deadline you will be charged a fee to make any changes in ring size ect. Once your DNA ring is complete and charm set it can't be resized. The heat will melt the DNA charm so be sure to leave your correct size

Q: Do you add any color to my Breastmilk?

A: when mixing inclusions such as Breastmilk and Hair I will sometimes add a brightener to the Breastmilk to ensure the curl is visible.

To ensure your Milk Charm lasts a lifetime, please follow these guidelines

Avoid wearing your Milk Charm in showers, mineral baths, spas and swimming pools, as the salt water, chlorine and heat may affect the discolor your Breastmilk.

Remove your Milk Charm before exercising or prior to bedtime. Excessive perspiration and body oils can sometimes surface tarnish the piece. This will also protect the chain

Before you put on your Milk Charm, be sure any lotions, perfumes and make up are absorbed into your skin. Apply all hair products, especially hair spray, before you put on the Milk Charm

Remove your Milk Charm when cleaning. Harsh chemicals from dishwater detergents, house chemical will tarnish sterling silver and discolor your Breastmilk

Do not store your Milk Charm next to heating vents, window sills or in a car. The heat will cause your Breastmilk to discolor. The less air and light your silver is exposed to when you aren’t wearing it, the less tarnish will occur, making it easier to have shiny jewelry for years to come.

Your Sterling silver pieces should be cleaned with a special Sterling silver cloth. This will remove any tarnish and dullness and keep your Sterling silver Jewelry looking like new.

Never use tissues or paper towels for cleaning silver. These products will scratch the surface of the Jewelry.

Prior to storing, make sure your Milk Charm is dry, as moisture speeds the tarnishing process so it’s important to make sure your Sterling silver Jewelry is dry before putting it away.

Ideally, store your Milk Charm in a soft lined box or pouch. Try to keep pieces apart, so that they so don’t rub together or tangle up.

Handmade Jewelry

Each piece is completely hand made, as with all handmade items there is no such thing as a perfect piece. Meaning you may see, under close inspection, mold lines, micro bubbles, rough or mis-shaped edges. While I strive to make each piece as 'perfect' as possible these variations are normal and as expected in a hand made item. These variations will not harm the life of your charm, they are only cosmetic. I will not remake or refund any orders for these reasons.
